  6.           Thanks for your quick reply. I will try to answer all of
  7. your questions, as best I can.

  9.      I am sending you the system information file from pctools
  10. which is quite complete.
  11.      
  12.      The only additional boards in this machine which is a Hewitt
  13. Rand 386sx-16 with 4 megs of ram are a scanner board for a microtek
  14. scanner model 600z and an everex cassette streaming tape back up. 
  15.      
  16.      This freezing in the middle of various applications has only
  17. started recently which leads me to suspect that some chips are
  18. starting to go bad. I really don't want to send the machine to the
  19. serviceman as all he does is replace chips and then check to see if
  20. the machine has frozen, as I'm not convinced he has any better
  21. methods than that, but I could be wrong.

  23. If you have any suggestions please let me know, I'll try anything

  25.      I forgot the machine has one or two more bad habits, if you
  26. leave it alone, after about five minutes it reboots itself. I'm not
  27. sure this is a problem as I have a reboot file in my root so that
  28. after I finish faxing thru the faxmodem and having the machine
  29. reboot, I know that the modem will work properly in telix.

  31. I am also getting keyboard errors on bootup every now and then but
  32. they dont seem to do anything as the keyboard seems to work
  33. properly
